Drive with Care Foundation Non-Discrimination Policy

Drive with Care Foundation (“the Foundation”) is deeply committed to diversity and equality. We believe in a culture of inclusion where everyone feels valued, heard, and a sense of belonging. This policy aims to establish and maintain an inclusive environment that respects diverse traditions, heritages, and experiences.

1. Purpose and Scope
The Non-Discrimination Policy applies to all aspects of the Foundation’s operations and programs, including but not limited to recruitment, employment, promotion, compensation, benefits, training, services provided, and volunteer participation. This policy also extends to the Foundation’s interactions with the broader community, including partners, beneficiaries, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.

2. Policy Statement
The Foundation does not discriminate based on race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), socio-economic status, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, political affiliation, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law. We affirm our commitment to provide equal opportunities in all areas of employment and to administer all its activities, programs, and services free from bias and discrimination.

3. Procedures and Practices
We are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in all activities, including but not limited to:

  •  Employment: We maintain fair and non-discriminatory employment practices throughout the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and selection to development, advancement, and termination.
  •  Volunteers: We ensure that volunteer opportunities are open to all without discrimination, and that all volunteers are treated with respect and dignity.
  •  Services: We ensure that all our services and programs are accessible and provided in a fair and non-discriminatory manner.
  •  Environment: We strive to create an inclusive environment that values the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all.

4. Reporting Discrimination
Anyone who believes they have been discriminated against by the Foundation or is aware of discrimination within the Foundation should report the matter to their supervisor, or, if the supervisor is involved, to another manager or the Human Resources department. All reports will be treated seriously and investigated promptly, confidentially, and impartially.

5. Enforcement
Any violation of this Non-Discrimination Policy will lead to appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or volunteer engagement. Retaliation against an individual for reporting discrimination or participating in an investigation is strictly prohibited and will itself be treated as a violation of this policy.

6. Training and Education
The Foundation is committed to providing training and resources to promote understanding, acceptance, and adherence to this Non-Discrimination Policy. We also encourage staff, volunteers, and clients to seek education and training about diversity and inclusion.

7. Policy Review
This Non-Discrimination Policy will be reviewed at least annually to ensure it continues to align with current laws and regulations, and to assess its effectiveness.
